Ms. Thais
Ballet, Pointe
Ms. Thais is an accomplished ballet instructor and former professional dancer with over two decades of dedicated teaching experience. She began her foundational dance training in Boca Raton under the guidance of Betty D'Avray and Anne Polajenko, a distinguished former dancer from the Paris Opera Ballet. Thais further advanced her education at the School of Ballet Florida, where she trained and performed for years, gracing the stage in classical productions such as Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, The Tempest, and The Nutcracker. It was there that she studied under her ballet teacher and master pedagogue, Ruth Petrinovic, former director of training at the historic Harkness House of Ballet Arts. Under Petrinovic's direct mentorship, Ms. Thais also received her comprehensive teacher training and mastered the Revolutionary Principles of Movement (RPM) method. This revolutionary system directly integrates anatomy, physics, and kinesiology into classical ballet training. She later expanded her artistic horizons internationally by moving to Spain, where she danced professionally with the Ballet Comunidad de Madrid.
Discovering her passion for instruction at an early age, Ms. Thais has dedicated the past 20 years to nurturing the next generation of dancers using this anatomically sound, scientifically backed approach. She views the ability to teach ballet as a true gift, aiming to impart the profound physical and mental benefits of the art form to all her students.
