Alexis, a Miami native, was immersed in the world of art from a young age. She began her artistic journey as a competitive dancer, studying various styles such as ballet, contemporary, street jazz, and Broadway jazz. Additionally, she delved into acting classes early on, furthering her passion for the performing arts. After participating in the Fluxus Haus Inc. dance residency, Alexis made the move to New York City to pursue her studies in Acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Following her graduation, she returned to South Florida with the goal of making a positive impact on the local art scene where her journey first began. In addition to her dedication to mentoring young talent’s teaching at various dance studios in South Florida, Alexis worked on two short films in collaboration with the Young Arts Foundation, as well as choreographing at Nova Southeastern University and Broward College. Alexis is a proud full company member of Styx the Company, performing in “House of Velvet”, “Bits and Pieces Miami”, “Dance. All. Day. Fest.”, and recently debuted in Brianna Campbell’s original work of “The Teller Returns”. Today, Alexis is excited to bring her passion for acting and performing to Evolution X.
